Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a group of permanent disorders that affect movement, posture, balance, and muscle control because of abnormal brain development or injury to the developing brain. Its effects vary widely and may include spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, or mixed movement patterns. Cerebral palsy can have prenatal, genetic, infectious, vascular, or birth-related causes. A diagnosis alone does not prove medical negligence. A legal investigation focuses on the child’s records, timing of injury, care provided, and medical causation.
