Clergy Sexual Abuse
Clergy sexual abuse is sexual abuse committed by a priest, minister, rabbi, imam, religious leader, employee, volunteer, or another person connected with a faith organization. A civil case may investigate the perpetrator’s conduct and the actions of the church, diocese, school, order, or related institution. Relevant evidence can include assignments, personnel files, prior complaints, reporting practices, supervision, transfers, and what institutional leaders knew or should have known.
