Lead Poisoning

Lead poisoning is harm caused by lead entering the body, often through contaminated dust, deteriorated paint, soil, water, or occupational exposure. Children are especially vulnerable because lead can affect the developing brain and nervous system. Symptoms may be subtle, so blood testing is important. A civil claim may examine the exposure source, property condition, notice, regulatory duties, blood lead history, other possible sources, and medical or educational evidence of injury.
