Revival Law

A revival law permits certain civil claims that were previously barred by a filing deadline to proceed again. Some states create a temporary filing window, while others remove the deadline for defined claims. The law can include special rules for damages, defendants, evidence, estates, or attorney fees. Maryland’s Child Victims Act addresses claims involving sexual abuse that occurred while the survivor was a minor. Eligibility depends on the current statute and individual facts.
