Car Accidents in Maryland

Every year, more than 120,000 people are injured in motor vehicle accidents across the state of Maryland. Here in Baltimore, we see a significant number of victims left with severe injuries that negatively impact their lives. Although most drivers are careful and considerate of others while traveling throughout our state, we continue to see victims injured in crashes due to the negligence of others. Some of the leading causes of crashes in our state include:

Impairment: thousands of people are injured in crashes every year across our state due to drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Although there are many laws in place to prevent drivers from engaging in this type of reckless action, we continue to see victims injured and killed daily.

Distractions: distracted drivers are one of the leading causes of injuries and death in the state of Baltimore. These drivers take their attention off the road for even a second, leading to serious car accidents that negatively impact the lives of others. We see many people suffer severe injuries and crashes due to drivers who are texting, reaching for objects in their backseat, and engaging in other distracting behaviors.

Speeding: Even though every single road in our state has a postage speed limit, we continue to see speeding remain a top cause of crashes across Maryland. Drivers who crash their vehicles at high speeds are more likely to cause severe injuries to others.

If you were harmed in a crash due to these are other acts of negligence, you may have legal options available to help you recover. Seeking the assistance of a Baltimore car accident lawyer as soon as possible can make a significant difference in your ability to pursue legal action against those who cause you harm.
