Baltimore, MD (March 3, 2022) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Baltimore area on Wednesday morning. Just before 2 a.m., on March 2, the Howard County Police responded to a collision on Route 1.

Reports from authorities show that a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Route one when it became involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler near Blue Stream Drive.

The driver of the Toyota, 32-year-old Matthew Diehl of Elkridge, Maryland, was fatally injured in the crash. Authorities pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
