Car Accidents in Maryland

In Maryland, more than 110,000 people are injured in traffic-related incidents each year. Victims often suffer serious injuries that require extensive medical care. Some of the most traumatic injuries we see victims suffer from following crashes include:

  • Brain Injuries: From concussions to traumatic brain injuries, the severity of brain injuries can range drastically. In some cases, victims require surgery and extensive medical treatment. Sadly, these injuries are often extremely painful and can have a debilitating impact on a victim’s ability to perform various tasks, concentrate, and engage in activities.
  • Spinal Cord Injuries: These injuries can and often do result in overwhelming pain and suffering as well as permanent damages. Spinal cord injuries can result in a loss of feeling, lack of motor control, and even paralysis.
  • Broken Bones: Although broken bones are generally considered to be less-severe injuries than brain or spinal cord injuries, they can be extremely painful. In many cases, victims with broken bones have to undergo extensive medical treatment and may require surgery. Some victims have to go through therapy and spend extended time off work.
  • Facial & Dental Issues: Hard objects flying, or heads banging on doors, steering wheels, and other objects can lead to extensive injuries to the face and teeth. These injuries may require surgery. Not only do these injuries result in physical pain and suffering, but they often leave victims with mental and emotional damages as well.

Suffering these or other serious injuries in accidents can lead to towering medical expenses. For this reason, victims should reach out to our Baltimore car accident lawyers right away to explore legal options that may be available to help them move forward.
