Drowsy Driving
Drowsy driving is operating a vehicle while fatigue or sleepiness reduces alertness, reaction time, judgment, or control. It can involve insufficient sleep, long work hours, illness, medication, sleep disorders, or violations of commercial-driver service rules. Evidence may include logs, electronic records, work schedules, receipts, phone data, medical information, and the driver’s account. Fatigue must still be connected to the unsafe conduct and crash.
