Product Liability
Product liability is the area of law that addresses injuries caused by allegedly unsafe products. A claim can involve a design defect, manufacturing defect, inadequate warning, negligence, breach of warranty, or another theory recognized by the jurisdiction. Potential defendants may include manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and sellers. The plaintiff generally must identify the product, prove the applicable defect or wrongful conduct, and show that it caused the injury and damages.
