$2,500,000 Cerebral Palsy Due to Brain Injury at Birth
Pregnancy was complicated by preeclampsia, which the doctor’s office diagnosed but did not immediately hospitalize the patient. This inaction resulted in critical distress to the mother and baby, requiring an emergency c-section and extensive NICU stay for the baby. The child consistently missed developmental milestones but whose cerebral palsy, due to brain injury at birth, was not diagnosed until several years later. The case was settled before trial.
