Thomas F. Yost, Jr.
I am attorney Tom Yost, the Principal and Founder of The Yost Legal Group. I built a law firm with the sole purpose in mind of representing people who have been significantly harmed from the conduct of, or choices made by irresponsible people and corporations. I personally concentrate on cases where there has been toxic exposure, harm from defective medical devices or pharmaceutical drugs, and cases involving catastrophic injury.
I represented several hundred women in diet drug litigation where we recovered over $80 Million from a pharmaceutical company. For over 25 years, I have represented children who have been neurologically harmed by lead-paint exposure, collecting over $100 Million in settlements and verdicts. I have handled cases involving wrongful death from the railroad, a traumatic brain injury from a school bus, and cerebral palsy, hypoxic ischemia encephalopathy, and Erb’s palsy from poor hospital care.
I am the past-President of the Maryland Association for Justice, a 1,300-member trial lawyer association. I have been recognized as a Super Lawyer. I have publicly presented at seminars to educate other lawyers on how to advocate for the injured and vulnerable. I have continuously operated the law firm, doing just that for over 25 years.
I received my law degree from Delaware Law School in 1986 and my undergraduate degree in business administration from Villanova University in 1983. I am admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania, The District of Columbia, and in U.S. District Courts.
