Thomas F. Yost, Jr.
Tom Yost founded The Yost Legal Group in 1988. He received a degree in Business Administration from Villanova University in 1983, and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Delaware Law School in 1986. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
Attorney Tom Yost is committed to protecting the rights of people who have suffered serious injury and death due to negligence.
Over the course of his career Tom started out representing people injured in on the job and in motor vehicle accidents. Over time this included representing people with serious injuries in more complex cases involving school buses, tractor-trailers, railroads, and construction site accidents.
Eventually, the focus of his practice grew to include environmental exposures, pharmaceutical product liability cases and injuries from vaccines.
Presently, he personally focuses on handling complex cases involving catastrophic injury. One example is pursuing Kennedy Kreiger Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital for harm caused to children in human research experiments.
Named a Super Lawyer in 2017, Tom is also actively involved as a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland Association of Justice (MAJ), a 1300 member trial lawyer group. He frequently volunteers to speak to or teach new lawyers to be better advocates.
He is also actively involved in educating Maryland legislators concerning laws that affect access to the courts for injured victims. Tom Yost is also a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and a member of its specialty bar; sharing information nationally on matters involving environmental exposure, defective pharmaceutical, railroad workers claims, and traumatic brain injury cases. Tom has pursued cases across the country for severely injured clients.
Tom Yost is the father of five children and resides in the greater Baltimore Metropolitan area. He is an avid marathoner, enjoys riding his Harley Davidson, and supports the Arts.
